It is not just a typical Yoga class, we drop in to how you feel at the moment and listen to what your body and mind needs so we can guide you to a practise based on your resolve for that day.

YOGA
Breath-aligned movement is the key to get the most out of each yoga practice. This is what differs yoga from any other workout.
Yoga has been proven to bring both physical and mental balance in people's lives. In Monaliza's classes, you will be guided to set your foundations right from the beginning.
She will explain how to safely transition into one pose to the next, ideal alignment for your body and how to properly use your breathing throughout the practice.
Choose from:
Vinyasa Flow Yoga class. This is ideal for people who would like to work on their strength and flexibility. You will be guided to move through each poses with your breath to help release muscle tension from the body. This is a dynamic class to start your day feeling energised!
Restorative Yoga is a very quiet, still and grounding practice that promotes deep relaxation. This class restores your natural ability to relax, where you are guided to put your mind and body at rest. This class helps reduce stress and tension from your mind and physical body.
You will be guided and supported throughout the practice.
Restorative yoga allows you to drop in, relax and switch off the thinking mind. Rebalancing your nervous system. Open to all level of yoga practitioners. If you are someone who’s having a hard time ceasing the chatters of the mind, always switched on and have trouble sleeping, this practice is specifically designed for you.
Trauma Release Yoga is specifically designed to release long held tension in the body caused by traumatic experiences in the past. As Bessel Van Der Kolk said "The Body Keeps The Score". This is also beneficial for people who are suffering from anxiety, chronic stress, pain and depression. You will be guided to a process that is specific to you. There will be a deep focus on breath awareness, gentle yoga postures and techniques that will lead you into a meditative state to help release suppressed emotions and tensions from the body.

MEDITATION
Mindfulness is a great way to bring peace, harmony and calm in your mental and emotional state.
Meditation is a practice that will bring awareness to your life. This is a great healing modality to add in your tool box.
We have all experience stress, anxiety and tension in life. There are days when we do not understand how to properly express and communicate them. Sometimes they become long held emotions and unresolved issues in our lives that causes mental & physical fatigue. With the practice of meditation, we can understand our mental habits better by bringing awareness into our lives through the practice of meditation.
Guided Meditation is a meditation practice where you will be held in a safe space and guided in your journey to self understanding to help you find peace in the present moment.
This will begin depending on how you feel at the time of practice.
Ideal flow of practice will be a few breath awareness techniques breathing exercises and movements to release stagnation and inertia, may include some breath work, hand gestures(mudra) and Monaliza will get you up on a sitting/laying down position that works best for you.

BREATHWORK
Pranayama also known as "breath work" is an advanced practise for Yoga practitioners and Meditators that already have a good understanding of proper healthy breathing.
With the use of your breath, you gain access to your nervous system which plays a big role in your overall health and wellbeing.
The nervous system is connected to our physiological health, when we build our awareness in how we are breathing and gain access to it, we can bring balance to our mental, emotional and physical state when we most need it.
Breathwork and Breath Training is a special offering to those who are seeking a deeper state of inner awareness and calm state of mind. It is important to understand your own body and know where exactly you are starting from to be able to safely practice pranayama "breath work" and access the full capacity of your lungs to support an optimal diaphragmatic breathing. This is a great start to build the foundation of your nervous system to promote a healthier mind & body.
